Dan Merrell - President

Dan Merrell who serves as the company’s President and a member of the Board, has vast experience as a senior marketing executive in the kids and family entertainment industry. In addition to overseeing all marketing, sales and retail distribution for Big Idea Productions, Dan has also served as a senior executive of Hit Entertainment, Lyrick Studios and Best Video Distributors.

Throughout his over twenty year career, Dan has been instrumental in the successful launch, distribution and sales of leading family entertainment brands such as film and video products VeggieTales, Bob the Builder, the Wiggles and Barney the Dinosaur resulting in over $1 billion in consumer sales collectively. Bob Elder - Vice President

God has used Bob Elder to further His kingdom through work in the Christian products marketplace for the last 20 years. Starting with a strong retail base developed while serving in the store operations and merchandising departments of Family Christian Stores for nine years, Bob and his family moved to Nashville, Tennessee to work with Word Entertainment as head of marketing until he was recruited by Big Idea Productions, the award winning production company and creator of “VeggieTales.”

In March of 2003, Bob launched E3 Strategic Solutions Inc. to serve the Christian marketplace with a mission to find, develop and bring to market relevant Christ-centered products that will impact lives to transform culture utilizing Bob’s key strengths of Expertise, Excellence and Energy. Bob and his wife Heidi have two children, John – 17, and Emily -15, make their home in Thompsons Station, TN and are active members of Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, TN.

Sue Beddingfield - Vice President

Sue Beddingfield is a strategic marketing executive with more than 20 years experience in launching and building brands. Before joining Propeller, Sue had her own business, Surround Marketing Group, specializing in developing and implementing business, brand and marketing plans, primarily for children’s and family brands. Prior to forming Surround, Beddingfield served as Senior Vice President, Marketing, for HIT Entertainment (formerly Lyrick Studios), where she authored innovative marketing programs for many blue-chip children’s entertainment brands.

She was a member of the executive management team responsible for developing and maintaining Barney’s classic-character status in the preschool category. Additionally, Beddingfield created and managed launch plans for popular characters Bob the Builder and The Wiggles, building Bob to an award-winning (License of the Year) $100 million launch in the U.S., and generating a media and sales frenzy with The Wiggles. She also designed the brand extension plan for Angelina Ballerina, growing Angelina from a classic book character to a successful television and video series.

Bill Reeves - Vice President

Reeves joins Propeller Consulting as a vice president after more than three years as entertainment director for Tommy Nelson, the children’s division of Thomas Nelson Publishers. In this role, Bill supervised day-to-day activities of video, audio and licensing business for the division. He also served as executive producer for several video projects, including Max Lucado’s Hermie and Friends™ series. Prior to Tommy Nelson, Reeves worked as director of CBA market development at Big Idea Productions, known for its highly-successful VeggieTales® cartoon series. Before coming on board with Big Idea, Bill spent 12 years working in the Christian music industry.

Nathan Vickroy - Vice President

Nathan Vickroy joins Propeller as a brand marketing and sales executive who has focused his career in the children’s entertainment industry. Before joining Propeller, Nathan oversaw all brand development, marketing, and sales for BOZ, The Very First Noel, and the upcoming NASCAR Jr. brands at Exclaim Entertainment. Prior to Exclaim, Nathan led home entertainment strategic planning at HIT Entertainment for Bob the Builder, Barney, The Wiggles, Thomas & Friends, and several other brands that generated over $120 million of revenue annually. Additionally, Nathan led soliciting, evaluating, and recommending prospective brands for acquisition at HIT.

Nathan cut his teeth in the entertainment industry at Big Idea Productions where he served in a variety of roles, eventually spearheading grass roots and direct marketing efforts for VeggieTales and 3-2-1 Penguins.

 

Suzette Schafer - Vice President

Suzette Schafer has honed her skills as one of the most successful mass merchant and big box retail sales executives in the entertainment business. She has held executive sales positions at Gaiam, GoodTimes Entertainment, Hit Entertainment, PolyGram, Sony Pictures, and more. Suzette was the major force in establishing GoodTimes Entertainment and Genius Products’ presence within the CBA market. She understands the value of programming that resonates with the core Christian audience, and she can marry that message with commercial entertainment value and ensure success well beyond the CBA market. Examples of her past work with faith-based/family properties are projects such as Megiddo: The Omega Code 2, Max Lucado’s A Christmas Child, Mary Engelbreit, Benji, Jerry Jenkins: Though None Go With Me, The Christmas Shoes, Charlton Heston Presents the Bible, The Pond, and recently Promenades Pictures' The Ten Commandments and The Wager.

Suzette is a native Californian, fitness enthusiast, and well-respected member of her community. She has been married to her husband Charlie for 19 years and together has 3 teenage boys. Charlie and Suzette are the co-founders of an organization called Acres4Life (Acres4Life.org) which establishes farms in Uganda to provide a way to feed, teach, and empower suffering families and their children with new skills and hope for a new life and self-sufficiency.

Andy Peterson - Sr. Marketing Director

With more than 10 years of experience in the music and publishing industries, Peterson began his career at BMG Entertainment and Reunion Records in 1995. It was from there that he moved on to help launch the highly successful independent label Rocketown Records, co- founded by leading Christian artist Michael W. Smith. In 2002, Peterson accepted a position as senior marketing director at Warner Bros. Records in Nashville, Tenn., serving its Word Label Group which houses legendary artists Amy Grant and Randy Travis, among others. Most recently, Andy was employed by Thomas Nelson, Inc. (NYSE), the ninth largest publishing company worldwide, where he directed marketing for children’s book and media imprint Tommy Nelson.

Rodney Bowen - Director of Marketing

Rodney Bowen ventured into the entertainment arena by accepting a position with Chordant Distribution Group (now EMI CMG Distribution), where he grew from marketing manager to major accounts manager. Most recently, Bowen served more than three years at Nashville-based Word Entertainment. As sr. marketing director for Word Distribution’s business-to-business marketing division, he facilitated a range of strategic activities, including promotion and program development, label relations, Internet initiatives and public relations.

Allison Martin – Marketing Coordinator

Allison Martin joins Propeller after working for EMI Christian Music Group for two years. At EMI she worked in Artist Development and most recently in the Relationship Marketing department where she used consumer insights to set the vision for the marketing plan. Laura Beth Stubblefield - Marketing Coordinator

Laura Beth Stubblefield joins Propeller Consulting as a marketing coordinator assisting with planning and executing various marketing initiatives. Her background includes music video promotion for AristoMedia, a Nashville based marketing firm with expertise in music video promotion, entertainment publicity and radio promotion in the country and contemporary Christian music genres. Using new media, she managed promotions for driving traffic to artist websites and partnerships with major entertainment companies. Stubblefield also gained three-years of project management experience at ImagePoint after graduating from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Pam McWilliams - Direct Marketing

Pam McWilliams served 21 years as Executive Vice President of Bee Alive, Inc. a direct marketing Health and Beauty Company. She helped grow the organization from a three-person operation to a 150 employee organization. While at Bee Alive Pam's responsibilities included management, business development, ROI analysis, marketing and promotion, product development, profit and expense management, and systems implementation.
